The sediment filter is comprised of
a two-layered polypropylene spun cartridge, which effectively
reduces solid particles larger than 5 microns.
Housing both a pre- and post- filter component allows for separate
gradient densities on the outer and inner layers. The outer layer
works to reduce larger particles, while the inner layer reduces
finer particles. Separate gradient filters work to maximize effectiveness
in holding dirt
The activated carbon molecule removes
chemicals, organic matter and metals by bonding to them as water
passes through the cartridge.
The activated carbon block filter is comprised of millions of
carbon atoms that have a large surface area to attract organic
compounds. As a result only clean and purified water will be able
to enter your drinking water system.
Water is forced through a semi-permeable
membrane that traps unwanted matter. Once water has passed through
the membrane, all unwanted substances are washed away through
wastewater, and only the clean, treated water flows into the next
stage. As a result, your water will be free of solid matter and
dissolved solids.
Due to the intricacies of water production
through reverse osmosis, a storage tank is required. These units
are pressurized to produce a sufficient flow of water when the
tap is open. The tank has a 3.2 gallon storage capacity. (Larger
capacity tanks are available based on your specific water requirements.
The post-filter is a granular activated
carbon block filter which refines the taste of your water before
being dispensed for your water consumption.
As a result of the Reverse
Osmosis process, you will be left with the highest quality water
available on the market.
