Water. It's something we rarely think about yet
use every day. Water is critical to all living things. It's often
said that we are made up of mostly water. Well it's true. Up to
60% percent of the human body is water, the brain is composed of
70% percent water, and our blood is 82% percent water. |

Water is so important to our lives, yet 99% percent of all water
(oceans, seas, ice, and atmosphere) is not available for our use.
Of the remaining 1% much of it is out of reach. Most of the water
we use in everyday life comes from rivers, yet the vast majority
of the fresh water available for our uses is stored in the ground
and not readily accessible. |

The public water-supply system, is vital to all of us. These are
the facilities that withdraw water from rivers, lakes, reservoirs,
and wells and then deliver it to our homes, businesses, and schools.
Nowadays, the majority of people get their water in this manner
by turning on their taps. |

In
the past, when the population was a lot more rural, people used
to have to dig their own wells and create storage tanks for their
water supply. Fortunately we don’t have to do that any more,
the public-supply systems have replaced individual wells. Public
supply systems have strict safety standards to ensure a clean, safe
and constant water supply. The one side effect however is a chlorine
taste. |

This
is where citywater
comes in. We take the pure, safe, clean water from the public water
supply (which you are part owner off through your taxes) and
eliminate that taste. The result is the best water on earth. Clean,
pure, and fresh. All you have to do is turn on your tap! |
